Cookie Policy
Essential cookies on the SaaS platform; cookieless analytics (Plausible) only on the marketing site; how to manage your preferences
What Is a Cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored and/or read by your browser on your end device (computer, laptop, smartphone) depending on the websites you visit.
Cookies make interacting with the site safer and faster, since they can retain your preferences (e.g. login, language) and send them back to the originating site (first-party cookie) or to another site to which they belong (third-party cookie) on subsequent visits.
Data stored by the cookies used on SSM.ro never shows personal details from which an individual identity could be established.

Categories of Cookies Used
| Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Allow navigation on the site and use of basic functions (e.g. login, session); installed only in response to your actions | Session |
| Functionality | Retain your preferences on return (e.g. language, display options); collect exclusively anonymous information | Max. 2 years |
The SaaS platform (appssm.ro) uses exclusively essential cookies — we do not use analytics, marketing, or social media cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics or other profiling tools.
Traffic Analysis — The Marketing Site
On the presentation site (ssm.ro) we use Plausible Analytics for aggregated traffic statistics. Plausible is a web analytics tool:
- cookieless — it does not store or read cookie files on your device
- no personal data — it does not collect individual identifiers and does not create profiles; it does not track users across sites
- hosted in the EU — aggregated data is processed within the European Union, with no transfer outside the EEA
Because Plausible does not use cookies and does not process personal data, consent is not required for this analysis.
The SaaS platform (appssm.ro) does not include any web analytics tool — neither Plausible nor any other.
We do not use Google Analytics, marketing/advertising cookies (e.g. DoubleClick, Ad Exchange), or social media cookies.
How to Manage Your Preferences
You can withdraw your consent for cookies at any time, through:
- Browser settings — blocking or deleting cookies from the "Options", "Tools", or "Preferences" menus
- Third-party software for managing cookies

Note: Disabling cookies may affect the operation of certain parts of the site.
Security Considerations
Cookies can pose risks in certain situations:
- Interception on unencrypted networks — if the browser connects through an unsecured WiFi network, information in cookies could be intercepted (a rare occurrence)
- Server misconfiguration — if a site does not require the exclusive use of encrypted channels, attackers can exploit this vulnerability
Recommendations for safe browsing:
- Customize your browser's cookie settings to a comfortable security level
- If you share access to a computer, configure the browser to clear data on close
- Install and constantly update anti-spyware applications
- Keep your browser always up to date — cookie-based attacks often exploit vulnerabilities in older versions
Changes to the Policy
SSM.ro may update this policy periodically. Any change will be posted on the site. If you have provided us with your contact details and authorized us to contact you, we will notify you in the event of substantial changes.
